The Return of the T

After a roughly 2 year long break, I have finally restarted Testosterone... Huzzah! No one talks too much about the effects on your body and the subsequent effects of going off Testosterone.

Two years ago, I was on HRT for 6 months before I had to stop taking hormones for a bit to safely have my little potato (R). In the short period of time, I grew a darker moustache, my voice became deeper, and my self image was happier and more content... In only 6 months! Today, I have no intent of going off Testosterone ever again and I'm excited to see what other effects it may have. With any luck, I'll stop being referred to by others as "mama" and my Twister (Q) won't have to correct people as much. It's always fun to see the confused looks on people's face as Twister calls me "papa" in the middle of the store. But enough about the sad feelings, here's to more positive. My little Potato is not much of a Potato anymore, he's crawling now. Which means between him and Twister, I'm always on my toes! One child will be saying "cookie please papa" in the kitchen while pulling the step stool up to the cookie jar and the other will be crawling around the living room eyeballing the stairs! These boys...

It's exciting to think about Christmas, the pure joy on both of the boys faces as they open presents and play with new toys is definitely worth the wait. I'm excited to share my favorite traditions with them. Curling up with a book by a fireplace, Snowmen, Santa Photos, Sipping Hot Cocoa under blankets in the living room watching Christmas classics like "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" and "The Grinch". Speaking of Christmas, Twister already tore up a present or two under the tree. - note to self: do not store wrapped presents under the tree until Christmas! Happy Holidays to all who celebrate them! There's so many beautiful holidays in this time of year. Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Yule, Christmas... I hope everyone has a beautiful time and remember that even if you don't have family to spend it with, you are loved and worth so much.
