The Man in the Mirror

"Who is he?" I voice to myself. He looks so familiar, so handsome... Bright golden eyes filled with light,

soft short hair styled to perfection,

a shining smile showing immense joy... He is not me. At least, not yet. I blink and stare in the mirror again. Dull eyes reflect back, framed by dark circles, A permanent scowl permanently etched on the face, Long messy blonde hair, obviously unkept to top it all off... I don't recognize her. What happened to the man in the mirror? Why is she standing in his place? When will the world see him too? He is not me. At least, not yet.

Love.

A word previously used to describe the curse of being tied to you. The feeling so endlessly suffocating, and yet explosive in its presentation. Something I now use to describe pure unadulterated peace
